Ref #379

This PR force-exits sync workers after a hard timeout so Python shutdown cannot leave them waiting indefinitely for threads started by the task. It preserves the existing stderr diagnostic before terminating.

It also bumps the package version to 0.26.2 and adds regression coverage for a timed-out task with a blocked non-daemon thread.
