Packer

A Docker image with HashiCorp Packer, built on top of specsnl/ansible.

Pre-installed Packer plugins:

• docker
• ansible
• upcloud

Pulling image from GitHub Container Registry:

docker pull ghcr.io/specsnl/packer:latest

The image uses packer as its entrypoint (defaults to packer version). Running a Packer command with the current directory mounted:

docker run -it -v $(pwd):/workspace --rm ghcr.io/specsnl/packer:latest build .

Interactive shell and mounting the current directory:

docker run -it -v $(pwd):/workspace --rm --entrypoint /bin/bash ghcr.io/specsnl/packer:latest

Default workspace: /workspace

Task

This project uses Task (an task runner / build tool).

Available tasks for this project:

* build:       Build the Packer image
* lint:        Apply a Dockerfile linter (https://github.com/hadolint/hadolint)
* shell:       Interactive shell with Packer
